Alpha 0.0.6 Patch Notes


This update brings major improvements across combat, UI, audio, relics, and boss encounters. Many systems received polish passes, new abilities and relics were added, and performance and stability have been improved throughout the game.

New

Gameplay & Abilities

  • Changed Upgrade Progression to be composed of 3 different SystemsRelics / Blessings / Augments
  • Added lots of Relics 

  • Introduced 3 Augments  per Oath, each with its own upgrades.

  • Added Faith Ability (Ultimate)

  • Added Magic & Physical damage stats, Faith mechanics, Divine Shield, Oathfire and more.

  • Added minion spawn effect, chest spawn VFX, new aura visuals, and updated weapon glow effects.

  • Added different Shrine Interactables randomly spawning on the Map

  • Added Boss Encounter after 10min

UI

  • Added rarity borders for blessings/upgrades.

  • Added new main menu scene with environment, music settings, and menu music.

  • Added Relic Screen, added minimap, and added chest/blessing stone minimap icons.

  • Added augment upgrade list and hover previews for Stat Menu.

  • Added health & resource numbers to the player HUD.

  • Added improved tab stats menu (relics, crit dmg, grouping similar upgrades).

  • Added ability cooldown reduction preview in tolltip and recast handling.

Audio

  • Added full audio system with UI, shrine, chest, relic, combat, and movement sounds.

  • Added item hover/select sounds and corrected double-play bugs.

Improvements

Combat & Abilities

  • Reworked some ability visuals (lightning strike, divine shield,  VFX alignment fixes).

  • Refined vengeance coloration, spinning object scaling, crescent hit VFX, and weapon displays.

  • Adjusted several aura behaviors.

  • Improved behaviour of electric orb, reckoning upgrades, blazing trail visuals, and effect areas.

Enemies & AI

  • Improved minion steering, pathing, and jitter reduction.

  • Smoothed steering around edges and reduced hanging.

  • Added combined mesh batching for fewer draw calls.

  • Improved mage rotation, idle aiming, and dash cast timings.

UI & UX

  • General UI styling improvements, icon updates, button polish, torn UI elements, and improved menu transitions.

  • Blessing menu pause unified; updated multiple menus for clarity.

  • Adjusted compass arrow for new minimap.

  • Added subtitles for upgrades and improved item descriptions.

Map

  • Updated floor textures and improved chest loot VFX.

  • Reworked interactable spawning to be determined by map layout.

Audio

  • Continued tuning and expansion of combat, ambient, player, and shrine sound sets.

Fixes

Gameplay

  • Fixed multiple issues with relics applying incorrectly or canceling oaths.

  • Fixed conditions scaling incorrectly with health.

  • Fixed vengeance and Final Sentence damage issues.

  • Fixed losing auras randomly and various statlogger issues.

  • Fixed charge zone failing to appear.

UI

  • Fixed main menu button interaction issues.

  • Fixed menu animations not playing after rounds.

  • Fixed player HUD glitches.

  • Fixed win screen references and death zoom.

  • Fixed relic menu opening issues and tab stats grouping errors.

Abilities

  • Fixed crescent hit, consecration visuals, shieldbreaker orb spawning, effect list stashing, and projectile alignment problems.

  • Fixed ability rotation during certain animation states.

Enemies

  • Fixed mage mesh, idle rotation, and navmesh obstacle issues.

  • Fixed minion knockback/hurt glitches.

Faith & Resource Systems

  • Fixed faith ability immunity, resource add/reduce functions, and shrine faith removal.

Performance

  • Many optimizations across NPC agents, materials, minion steering, and overhead reduction.

  • Improved determinism of the layout generator.

  • Combined meshes for minions to reduce draw calls.

  • Cleaned up unused assets and build scripts.
